The Cost of Waiting
There is a cost to waiting. It’s never too late to start, but it’s always too late to wait. Do you know how much waiting is costing you?
Still not convinced that waiting to make even small nutritional changes like eliminating soda can make a huge difference in your health and quality of life? Consider this:
“In 2012, a study from Harvard University found that people who drink only one can of soda a day dramatically increase their risk of chronic heart disease (CHD). Compared to participants who drank the least soda, those who drank the most were 20 percent more likely to have a heart attack. “Consumption of sugar-sweetened beverages was associated with increased risk of CHD and some adverse changes in lipids, inflammatory factors, and leptin,” the researchers concluded.” {Source: medicaldaily.com}
Consider this. Two classmates graduate from college on the same day and begin working at the same place on the same day for the same pay. Classmate 1 starts saving for retirement beginning with his first paycheck with just a little at a time and remains consistent even during challenging times. Classmate 2 doesn’t begin until 10 years later and only saves when he has time and thinks it’s convenient. Who do you think will be in good financial shape when retirement age hits? Our health and fitness journey is much like that retirement savings account. If you never get started, what’s that going to cost you later?
