30 Days of Healthy Choices – Day 5: Choose to Accept Responsibility

In “The Miracle Morning” book by Hal Elrod, he makes a very clear distinction between accepting responsibility and laying blame.  They are very different.  The author says, “It is important to understand that responsibility is not the same as blame.  While blame determines who is at fault for something, responsibility determines who is committed to improving things.”  Wow!  That’s so impactful, don’t you agree?

Do you find yourself struggling with accepting complete and full responsibility for everything in your life?  It’s okay if you said yes.  Being aware is the first step toward accepting responsibility.  Do you see what you just did there?  You’re already taking that first step to accepting responsibility.

We all have within our power to make changes and create anything we want in this life beginning right here right now.  Will it take some work?  Absolutely!  The sooner we start, the sooner we can make our dreams become realities and accomplish our goals.  There are no limits except the ones you place on you.  It takes a lot of heart to begin fulfilling your hopes and dreams, but I believe you possess the power in you to transform your life and evolve into the person God intended you to be and enjoy the abundance that comes along with it.

We have two choices to make.  Which will you choose?

A.  Take responsibility for everything and be empowered to begin creating a plan to enact change.

B.  Continue blaming everyone else for what’s happened or hasn’t happened to you and remain the same.

I’m so grateful that you’re reading this book with me. Are you loving this “The Miracle Morning” book as much as I am?  If so, please share your thoughts on how it’s helping you, too, below in the comments section.  I can’t wait to read them.
